The goal of our first meeting is to get to know each other better. You’ll be able to share more detail around what issues have brought you to seek counselling and what you hope to gain from attending. We’ll also collaborate on what to expect for future sessions. Overall, I hope to make you feel comfortable, heard, and ready to move forward together.

As each person and their situation is unique, it’s challenging to estimate the number of counselling sessions required from the outset. We’ll be able to determine the frequency of appointments tailored to suit your needs after our first meeting.
Typically clients come once a week or once every two weeks. Clients who are working through an acute issue may choose to meet more often before switching to less frequent appointments to maintain a sense of wellbeing.
